JOB DUTIES: The Training Systems and Government Services team, located in St. Louis, Mo. is seeking software engineers to design and develop flight, avionics, sensor, and weapons systems models associated the AH-64 Apache. Individuals will develop software associated with the corresponding full mission trainer. Assignments require the individual to support the entire software lifecycle (system requirements, subsystem requirements, detailed design, implementation, and verification and validation). All assignments require communications with a diverse multi disciplined team that includes aircraft avionics engineers, pilots, subject matter experts, and may require the individual to verify developed software in the training device.
JOB SKILLS: : The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Ada, C/C++, PERL, Clear Case, Clear Quest, as well as, some knowledge of Linux and Windows software development environments. Experience with modeling and simulation, training systems, and/or aircraft and weapons systems are preferred but not required. The individual must work well in a group setting and have strong inter-personal and communication skills. Real-time simulation, embedded system experience, or knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics is a plus. Occasional travel may be required.
