1. Analyzes satellite imagery to extract and attribute feature data into an SDE database for the US DoD 2. Evaluates GIS data for compliance to statement of work, performing QC checks and corrections as necessary 3. Researches and obtains supplemental data using multiple sources including internet 4. Receives technical direction, training and guidance from senior members of the team and supervisor as required 5. Utilizes Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to generate metrics and report program statistics 6. Performs other related duties, including special projects as required
JOB SKILLS: 1. Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, cartography, computer science, or a related field One (1) or more years of related and equivalent experience 2. Previous work in aerial photo/satellite image interpretation 3. Must be a U.S. person 4. Demonstrated knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques 5. Demonstrated knowledge of popular remote sensing and imagery interpretation software 6. Demonstrated proficiency using ISO documentation and procedures 7. Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, or RemoteView software suites is preferred 8. Experience working with a wide variety of satellite imagery formats 9. Ability to work in a high performance team environment 10. Positive, highly self-motivated individual 11. Previous experience with NGA programs is a plus 12. Effective verbal and written communication skills 13. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously
