Position Description

Lead System Safety Engineer who will work cross functionally to develop system safety requirements, perform analysis and/or provide guidelines to engineering teams. Position requires systems and/or airplane-level safety design experience, knowledgeable on processes and artifacts related to ARP 4761, strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Tasks would include:

Reviewing system-level Functional Hazard Assessment and System Safety Assessment documents
Developing, validating, and verifying airplane-level safety requirements, including coordination with allocated systems
Executing airplane level threat analyses (bird strike, rotor burst, cargo fire, tire and wheel failures, etc.) and airplane-level common mode analysis
Engagement with regulators
Providing System Safety Process Guidance and Training to BCA programs (737-10, 777-9, etc)

Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
