Position

Overview

Perform tooling inspection and measures product and tools for engineering conformity. Able to documents procedures for creating tooling inspection plans. Performs inspections and collects data for evaluation of product or statistical data collection to determine product and processes conformity or assists with corrective action recommendations. Documents and communicates test analysis or measurement results to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Apply knowledge of tooling to ensure that deliverable tools meet contractual and company requirements to customers. Ability to operate multiple measuring systems, Spatial Analyzer considered a plus. Ability to define, interpret and reconcile supplier requirements and provide supplier tooling and product acceptance. Ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions while utilizing time in an efficient and effective manner. Ability to develop and perform periodic tooling inspection points for tooling design, provide concurrence on tool design changes, evaluate discrepancies and conduct corrective action.

Engineering Technical Info - Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information properties and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance definitions and familiar with model based definitions (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications ANSI Y14.5, ANSI Y14.29). Capable of operating and have verifiable work history in large scale metrology equipment. (I.E. Laser Radar and Laser Tracker preferred) will be considered a plus.

Quality Tech Documentation - Ability to interpret/develop policies, practices, processes, and procedures as they apply to technical documentation to ensure quality product delivery.

Computer Skills - Must be fluent in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point as well as Spatial Analyzer.

Education: AA degree in related discipline and typically 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
7+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
