**This position will initially be for 2nd shift -- 3:30 pm - midnight, with a 1/2-hour lunch break**
*A 14-day training class is required, which will begin on Day 1. Contractor must successfully complete training in order to be retained. The written exam at the end of the training class will cover all training topics. A minimum of 85% correct answers are required to pass. In addition, each student must complete and pass the Practical Planning Assessment. This requires the student to enter an installation plan in DELMIA, utilizing the V5 Suite of tools taught in the training class*
JOB DUTIES:
Manufacturing engineer planners are required to support the 787 Aft & Mid Body assembly in North Charleston, SC.
The candidate must be capable of interrogating CATIA V5 installation requirements models and converting into workable mfg build plans in DELMIA and/or Velocity.
This includes but is not limited to developing Bill of Materials, sequential work instructions and illustrations required to define and document the airplane configuration.
The planner will develop tooling requirements based on mfg and/or engineering requirements.
Will also resolve systemic manufacturing related issues identified on the shop floor.
JOB SKILLS:
Must be proficient in interrogating data in a windows based 3D CAD system (i.e. Catia V5, Solidworks, Solidedge, ProE, etc.).
AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
