Support GPS OCX surge needs in database and network technology, this job is located at the Company Denver Engineering Center in Aurora, CO
Support the Network and Communications engineering team in the technical design, development, integration, test and transition of the network and communications infrastructure for the Next Generation Global Positioning System (GPS) Operational Control Segment (OCX) Program. Support the analysis and documentation of requirements for network transport technologies and services of the GPS OCX program and the creation of the GPS OCX network designs. Additional responsibilities include: Researches, develops, and documents emerging WAN and LAN technologies and techniques. Prepares, deploys and coordinates installation of complex network implementation packages. Develops and implements cost control action plans based upon review of internal and sourced infrastructures. Develops hardware and software of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) configuration items that are needed to provide core enterprise communications services to include Computers and Networks services that facilitate, administer and manage the site to site communications within the GPS OCX system. Perform network communications system design & risk reduction for the GPS OCX wide area (WAN) and local area networks (LAN). Develop, configure and integrate routers, switches, and firewalls that support communications at multi levels of information assurance in compliance with requirements. Must be a team player and able to work in a dynamic fast paced multi-contractor environment.
JOB SKILLS: Cisco certifications and network domain skills including design with extensive COTS knowledge. Position requires a current Secret Clearance - US Citizenship Required
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
