JOB DUTIES:
This position will report to the manager of the Manufacturing and Quality Instructional Design and Development team supporting the manufacturing and quality job roles.
The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) works in collaboration with customers, and other team members as needed to clarify customer requirements and expectations, and respond to customer concerns related to all instructional aspects of the courseware design and development.
In addition, the ISD works with the Project Manager to define project scope, recommend deliverables as well as activities and resources required to accomplish each task.
Using Instructional System Design principles and/or Human Performance Technology (HPT) methodologies, the ISD conducts learning requirements analysis and establishes learning objectives for courseware.
The ISD is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT) course content and instructional materials (i.e., instructor guides, student guides, presentations, job-aids, graphics, multi-media, etc.).
The ISD Develops alternative plans as needed when faced with obstacles or setbacks.
Monitors and provides status of project(s), and will maintain version control of courseware.
The ISD also tests training environment set-up and interfaces with security for system access.
Researches new technologies and methodologies to better facilitate learning and the administration thereof; makes recommendations
JOB SKILLS:
Candidates will present with ISD credentials of a degree and experience.
Optimum candidate would present with a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 to 10 years of related work experience.
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
