Position: Lead database developer for Linux-based web application.
Job Duties:
- Lead cross-organization database definition and evolution team.
- Manage schema changes as they are reviewed and implemented, to ensure DB consistency and integrity.
- Work with performance team to optimize database operations.
- Identify architectural improvements in database usage.
- Support design and implementation of database-impacting features.
JOB SKILLS: We need someone with a substantial amount of experience with PostgreSQL. Some experience in agile database development would also be useful. Also needs experience in database tuning and optimization. The candidate would lead a group of less experienced database developers as the schema for the project evolves.
12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.
