Position Purpose:
Responsible for developing manufacturing strategy; implementing and directing production for worldwide distribution, influencing new product introduction, packaging and delivery of equipment; developing/leading a competent team of professionals and directing them through rapid evolution in equipment manufacturing technology and business requirements; leading all new equipment contract manufacturing efforts and relationships for operations; and managing intradepartmental and interdepartmental equipment issues to successful resolution.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in manufacturing engineering or related fields with at least 5 years of progressive management experience is also required
Manufacturing experience is a must.
Skills:
This position requires expertise in manufacturing/vendor management, business analysis, strategic and operational planning, budget and personnel management and new product development.
The ability to effectively interface with senior management is essential.
The ability to travel internationally and conduct business with persons from diverse cultures is required.
This individual must have excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, plus strong project management, vendor selection and negotiation skills.
They must demonstrate proven ability to implement complex processes.
Knowledge of current procurement, inventory management strategies, quality, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing practices is required.
Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills required.
Education:
Requires a BS/BA degree in science or engineering
